Big stripes, little stripes. When applied correctly, scale and illusion can work to your advantage.

As I mostly wear neutral colors, I love the pop of color for a shoe or accessory. These vintage oxfords from France are bold yet classic. Perfect for a weekend away by the shore or in the city.

A sheer navy striped top or dress is a perfect union between sultry and iconic and can easily go from day into night.

The iconic stripe swimsuit is always a favorite but, in this case, I am drawn to the hat and scarf combination as well as the cat-eye shaped sunglasses.

Style icon Georgia May Jagger. Daughter of the lead singer of one of my favorite bands. The Rolling Stones are a steadfast companion for any 4th of July travel.

Sorry to have disappeared for a bit… we have been busy shooting our first look book in the Chelsea gallery district in New York. Here’s a behind the scenes peak…

I just love how I coordinated my ToysRUs Geoffrey umbrella with my red rain galoshes on a beautiful sunny day (hence the plastic sunglasses of course).

Sorry I missed last Valentines week post – it was a busy week in the sample room!  Here are some bow accents I thought were fitting for a belated Valentine’s Day post…  Also some braided beauties showing easy, elegant styles.  I love that braids are so effortlessly versatile and easy to dress up or down.  Also perfect for those low maintenance days.

FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER – TAK SUGITA

In addition to my admiration of his beautiful photography, I can relate to Tak Sugita in that he started his career in fine arts and then moved into fashion.  I love these pictures from his spread in Vogue Taiwan that are influenced by the middle of the century.
