SUMMER COCKTAILS AND OTHER CONCOCTIONS….

The color yellow conjures images of sun and spring and light and happy… much like the branding color found in the Line Dry collection launching for Spring 2014. With yellow on the brain, it’s no wonder my summer cocktail list revolves around this shade… cheers!

Big stripes, little stripes. When applied correctly, scale and illusion can work to your advantage.

As I mostly wear neutral colors, I love the pop of color for a shoe or accessory. These vintage oxfords from France are bold yet classic. Perfect for a weekend away by the shore or in the city.

The iconic stripe swimsuit is always a favorite but, in this case, I am drawn to the hat and scarf combination as well as the cat-eye shaped sunglasses.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon the launch party celebrating the collaboration of Roy Lichtenstein, Barneys New York, and the Art Production Fund on a new limited edition collection.  I loved the playful nature and strong graphic characteristics of Roy Lichtenstein’s works (even though it was produced for the masses in this case).  The pieces were accentuated by ruby red lighting and mid-century style goodies such as silver dollar sized cherry pies, miniature ice cream cones, and cherry tomato sized BLT’s… Summer is coming!
